Things are looking up for Mindy Wells. She has just quit her soulless corporate job to follow her dream of owning a cupcake shop in a charming mountain town, she's met the man of her dreams, and her future is bright. There's just one problem- she needs an assistant and she needs one fast.

Enter Lucinda Knowles, who seems perfect. She's bubbly, polished, and put together.  If anything, she seems over qualified for the job.

But something is off. Right after Lucinda is hired, strange things start happening. Orders sabotaged, stolen accolades, and a hike that ends in disaster, leave Mindy reeling.

 

By the time Mindy realizes there is someone in her life who isn't who they say they are, it's too late. Far too late. Her sweetest dreams have become the most bitter nightmares...is there any turning back?
